We just got our hands on the beautiful Ulysse Nardin Quadrato Dual Time. This big date GMT is ultra functional for the executive world traveler that wants a talking piece on the plane. The case is solid 18k gold and has a very heavy “I know expensive and back it up” feel.
42mm x 42mm makes for a large, easy read of the dial and I must say it’s very easy on the eyes. This style travel watch which I have encountered before uses left handed pushers to quickly jump the hour hand on arrival of destination. We love this feature and it was a pleasure to use.
The movement is basic with added dressing to make the GMT functional. An ETA 2892 becomes a UN-24 after the re-work. Forget about that, this is a wrist masterpiece by Nardin and one of our favorites by the brand. The little stuff really makes this watch: steel caseback screws for longevity (gold screws literally turn to mush), 22K oscillating weight, and perfect crocodile strap with 18k deployment. Shhhuuu. Very Nice. $28,700
