Another shout-out to Eberhard watches on the 8 Jours Grande Taille. This mechanical hand wound splendor caught my eye, as have many Eberhard watches as of late. The pic above is from Baselworld 2012, where we caught a glimpse of the excellent exhibition back and a few side pieces frame the front of the watch.
You can see why I stopped for a gander at their goods. The Grande Taille has the wonderful 8 day power reserve, big size 41mm plus and wears it well for a statement watch. Heavily ogled by the Italian crowds at the show, it is fair to say that line does very well in Italy. Steel cases and crocodile straps for most of the watches I saw from Eberhard, these folks will get a sit down this Basel show for sure.
