There is almost always a watch that is attractive or inviting to some, but might not be the apple of everyone else’s eye. As an industry professional, I guess I have always had apprehension about the Tutima line. Would they be attractive to customers and are they going to sell? It’s my own head trash and after spending some time with a few of their watches, I have to admit that certain models are starting to get me over this thought process.
With the average Flipr becoming more interested in sporting industrial styles and military themed watches, it makes the Tutima brand more palatable to the masses. That said, my favorite piece from the line is the Commando II Chronograph. Perfect pushers that couldn’t be designed any better for tough wear. The pebble style bracelet is ultra comfortable as is the feel on the wrist. Equipped with a legendary Lémania 5100 automatic movement.
This watch is more than just a solid pick up, it is a classic from Tutima. It has original styling for a change, and really doesn’t touch on any of the looks from other watch companies. For example, I love that they can also be very aeronautical but not borrow anything from the other brands such as Breitling that fly in that same zone. So, if your flavor is Sinn, Fortis, or UTS maybe give the Tutima a go in your next purchase. A four star timepiece.
