Ulysse Nardin 269-65 Marine Chronometer 1846 160th Anniversary Watch Review

Ulysse Nardin Marine 269-65 Marine Chronometer 1846

Ulysse Nardin Marine 269-65 Marine Chronometer 1846I have had some beautiful Ulysse Nardin watches pass my hands lately. Oddly, of the 160 pieces that were produced of this limited Marine Chronometer, I have handled three. Marking 160 years of Nardin history, this anniversary edition sports a 43mm case with a white enamel dial for a crisp look. It is dressy and sporty at the same time and serves well as a power watch. Speaking of power, there is a reserve indicator at midnight that is minimal and complements the rest of the dial without cluttering it. My favorite thing about it would be the bold hands, which are interesting to say the least. Along with the big Roman numerals, this configuration is very retro in appearance – think classic pocket watch. This is truly a stellar timepiece that wears large and is a grand chunk of money at just sub $40,000, players club only.

The watch shown is Ulysse Nardin ref. 269-65 160th Anniversary. Follow @ulysse_nardin for more.

  1. Stunning! I love it on that strap. So glad they didn’t put that weird metal link in the middle of the strap. That turns me off majorly from the Marine Chronometers, oh yeah and the price.
