"Man on the Moon" 1969 Pittsburgh Press Newspapers Front Page - Omega Speedmaster WatchI have a thing for the Moon Watch and that little Lemania movement that displays ever so fine in the back of this timepiece. I’ve sold a few in my day and I’m not against using props when needed to make my case that the watch is an ultra classic. Here are my two staples that were sent to me by customers that know I care about the history. Original newspapers with the watch gracing an astronaut’s wrist is always a good sign that you mean business about your watches.

When someone mentions the Moon Watch, I reach for these pieces of parchment to get them more aware of Omega and the history the Speedmaster has had with the space program. I loupe the 40 plus year old papers and show the watch ever so slightly through the late sixties pixelation. Then you say “that watch is here for your wrist today in the exact same fashion” you laugh,
